NORTH SALEM, N.Y. The Hammond Museum is honoring Koichi Yanagi, director of Koichi Yanagi Oriental Fine Arts in New York City, with the Natalie Hays Hammond Appreciation Award at this year's spring fund-raising event on Saturday, from 6-10 p.m. Yanagi is a strong supporter of the Hammond Museum and a noted member of the Japanese Cultural community. He has done much to support the traditions of Japanese culture at the Hammond Museum, including the donation of the Japanese tea room installed inside the Hammond Library Mansion.
