Hayley Hewitt of New Canaan, Conn., and her pony Splash of Color, or "Lexi," who train in North Salem, recently won the prestigious award of Horse of the Year in the Eastern States Exposition in the Children's Hunter-Pony Small/Medium division in West Springfield, Mass. The show is a recognized United States Hunter Jumper Association event, said Ashley Yozzo, owner of Summit Farms in North Salem where Hewitt trains.
