NORTH SALEM, N.Y. Pequenakonck Elementary School is challenging its fifth-graders to engage in a STEM project during recess periods beginning Tuesday, Feb. 24. Participating students will take part in an eight-session engineering experiment. They will explore various aspects of engineering such as how the structure of an object affects its function, how energy is changed and how to use digital tools for investigation and design.
