State police after advising residents in the North Salem area to be vigilant following the stunning Monday murder of a socialite wife of a multi-millionaire owner of more than 100 McDonald's franchises. Lois Colley was killed by a blunt-force trauma to her body, state police said at a Tuesday press conference in Hawthorne.
